Jesus saw the need of a widow burying her only son. Jesus and his disciples were partially financed by a small group of women. So why did such a perceptive and appreciative Jesus throw his own mother under the bus by leaving her outside the house
and claiming that his true mother and brothers were someone else? Or did he?

Our Guest Speaker is Linda Howard from our own congregation while Pastor Mark is at Stephen Ministry Training. Linda began her career as a Youth For Christ staff person assigned to high schools in the Flint area, where it was called VCY (Victorious Christian Youth). She has completed many training courses to become a licensed Lay Speaker and we are excited to have her speak with us.

Death is a huge giant in the road that Jesus overcame for all of us. Everyone has giant “Goliaths” that seem impossible to overcome and to reach our purpose in life. Oh, did I tell you that Goliath really didn’t stand a chance against David from a military perspective? David had superior weaponry and “principle of war” advantage. And, so do we in rising to our purpose in life.

Luke 16:1-13
Synopsis: Jesus begins the day with a Triumphal Entry and ends it with clearing the money changers from the Temple. The Luke 16 story seems hard to understand. But from it we can learn four things not to do with money and six things that will help the way you think about and manage what God gives you for your Financial Health.
