As United Methodists, we have an obligation to bear a faithful Christian witness to Jesus Christ, the living reality at the center of the Church’s life and witness. To fulfill this obligation, we reflect critically on our biblical and theological inheritance, striving to express faithfully the witness we make in our own time.
We Believe
- In salvation through Jesus Christ. God became human in Jesus of Nazareth; and his life, death and resurrection demonstrates God’s redeeming love.
- God, who is one, is revealed in three distinct persons.
- That the Bible is God’s Word and is the primary authority for our faith and practice.
- That the kingdom or reign of God is both a present reality and future hope.
- That the church is the body of Christ, an extension of Christ’s life and ministry in the world today.
Connection with the Frankenmuth United Methodist Church
The members who make up this the body of Christ are as diverse as the community in which we live, work, and have connection. We are parents and grandparents, students and seniors, working and retired; married, single, committed and connected from many walks of life united in the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
Through small groups, community connection, and missional outreach we seek to grow in our Christian faith, demonstrating the love of God for the world. Balancing intellectual inquiry and spiritual fervor, as Methodists we are guided in our faith by scripture, tradition, reason, and experience. We are evangelical in Christ, socially engaged in praxis, connectional in organization, and Spirit led in shared and personal journeys of faith.
